How do I add and manage a calendar on my website?

This article will show you how to create and manage calendars within Website Builder.

Having a calendar on your website allows your visitors to see any upcoming events.

Simply choose the relevant section from the list below and follow the provided instructions to get started:

Creating your calendar

Start by logging in to Website Builder.

From there, access the page you wish to add your calendar to and add a new section.

Select Scheduling from the right-hand menu that appears and then choose Calendar from the list of options.

Click Add below the Calendar option.

A list of placeholder events will now appear on your page. You can also change the title and introduction of this section using the options within the right-hand menu.

Managing your calendar

You’ll need to decide whether to add events yourself or use an existing calendar from a third-party provider, such as Outlook, Google or Yahoo. You can also sync your calendar with your appointments, thereby avoiding any overlapping events.

Adding events yourself

Start by selecting your calendar section.

Click the option Add Events from the right-hand menu.

You can now manually change the details of each event on your page by clicking a specific piece of text.

To add new events, click the + icon that appears below the title of your Calendar.

Syncing with your appointments

Please note: you will only be able to sync one calendar at a time.

Select Appointments in the right-hand menu.

You will now be taken to your dashboard. From here, select Appointments in the toolbar and then choose Apps within the Settings list.

Select Add Calendar below Cronofy.

Choose which third-party provider you typically use from the list of options. From there, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Using a calendar from a third-party provider

Select your calendar section on your page, and then choose the option Link a Calendar. You’ll now need to enter the URL for your calendar into the provided field. For details on where to find this, please read the section below.

Google Calendar

Start by signing in to your Google account.

Select the grid icon in the top-right corner and then choose Calendar from the list of options.

From there, select the gear icon in the top-right corner and choose Settings from the drop-down menu.

Select which calendar you want to use from the left-hand menu.

Click Calendar settings from the provided options and Ensure that the option Make available to public is ticked.

Next, select Integrate calendar from the left-hand menu and you will see the URL for your calendar within the Public address in iCal format

Outlook Calendar

Start by signing in to your Outlook account.

Select Settings in the top-right corner, followed by View all Outlook settings.

Click Calendar in the left-hand menu, followed by Shared calendars.

Choose which calendar you want to use from the first field, and then select the option Can view all details in the second field. Next, select Publish.

The URL for your calendar will now be shown as a HTML and ICS link. Be sure to use the ICS link for your website.
