How do I create a redirect in Website Builder?

This article will explain how you can add a redirect in Website Builder.

This will show you how to create a redirect using Website Builder. You can use a redirect to prevent people from accessing a dead link to your page by directing them to the live site.

This feature is applicable to multiple versions of the Website Builder platform, so please use the options below to find the appropriate instructions for the package you are using. If you are not sure which version of Website Builder you are using, you can use this article to check.

Under the Settings tab, click on the URL Redirect option.

Click on the Add New Redirect button.

You can now define your redirect. Enter your old page URL into the box, and then link either to another page on your site or to an external webpage. Click on the Add button to create your redirect.

Click on the Manage button in the menu bar on the left hand side of the page.

Click redirects link in the Manage submenu.

If you do not already have a redirect set up, you can click Create a Redirect, or click the New button.

In the From box, enter the page name of the page you are directing away from, then select your new page from the To drop down box – you can also add an external domain name. Finally, decide whether this will be a permanent redirect, or just a temporary one. Click the Create Redirect button to finish the process.

Fill in the following details for the redirect.

  • Enter the last part of your URL you would like redirecting e.g. home
  • Select the page that you would like to redirect the page to on your Website Builder website.
  • Select the type of redirect.

Your redirect will now be set up.
