How do I edit the action button?
This article will show you how to customise action buttons within Website Builder.
Action buttons serve a valuable role as they can be used to take payments or direct visitors to a particular page, website or email address. Follow the instructions below to see how you can change any action buttons on your website.
Please note: this article only applies to Version 9 of our Website Builder. If you’re not sure which version you have, you can find out by reading this article.
Start by logging in to Website Builder.
From there, find and select a section that features an action button within it, such as Introduction or Content.
Select Action Button in the right-hand menu.
You will now be able to change several details associated with your action button, including:
- Action Button: the main text that appears on your button
- Action: whether clicking the button will take customers to a Link or Take Payments.
You can also change the design of your button by clicking Edit button styles opposite Action Button. Alternatively, you can remove the Action Button by disabling the toggle at the top of the page.
If you want your action button to use a Link, you’ll need to decide whether to direct visitors to a page on your website, to a third-party site, to a phone number, to an email address or to a specific product category.
Once you’re happy with your changes, click Done to return to the main site navigation menu.
