How do I create a Carousel or Image Slider in Website Builder?
This article will show you how to create and manage your own Carousel/Image Slider in Website Builder.
A carousel is a great way of allowing your visitors to browse a collection of images without bombarding them with too much information.
Please note: this article is only applicable for Version 8 of our Website Builder package. If you’re not sure which version of Website Builder you have, you can find out by reading this article.
Start by logging in to your Website Builder package.
From there, select Widgets in the left-hand menu.
Scroll down to the Media section, and then drag and drop the Image Slider widget wherever you want it to appear on your page.
A pop-up window will now appear where you can add, edit, remove and re-order the images within your slider. To add a new image, simply click the + Image or Add image option and then select your desired picture(s) from the Image Picker that appears.
From there, click Done to incorporate your image(s) into your slider.
To edit an image, simply select it within your Image Slider Content box and then update its settings using the provided fields. In particular, you can change the position of the image’s content, add a link to it as well as update the overlaying title and button text.
If you’d rather not have the title and button text appearing over your images, simply click the eye icon that appears alongside their respective fields.
Please note: for more details on how to edit an image, please read the following Support article: How do I resize and image in Website Builder?
To re-order your image slider, simply hover your cursor over the three dots that appear over each image and then click and drag it into your desired position.
You can also delete an image by clicking the X icon that appears in its top-right corner.
You can also adjust the style and settings of your Image Slider by selecting the Design tab.
From here, you can decide whether your slider should autoplay or not, the speed of your slideshow as well as its layout, font size, style, colour and more.
