How do I upload a file to my website?

This article will show you how to upload files to your Website Builder site so that visitors can download them.

Uploading files to your website will allow your visitors to easily download materials such as sign-up forms, videos, music and more. In fact, our Website Builder tool supports the following file formats:

Please note: the maximum file size you can upload is 10MB.

Since this feature is applicable to multiple versions of our Website Builder tool, simply select your version from the list below and follow the instructions provided to get started:

Start by logging in to your Website Builder package.

From there, select Widgets in the left-hand menu.

Scroll down to the Basics section and then drag and drop the File widget whenever you want it to appear on your page.

This will create a button through which your visitors can download your file.

Give your button a name with the Text on button field and then click + File to choose your document.

This will open the Uploaded Files panel where you’ll see all your recently uploaded documents. If you need to upload a new file, click Upload New File.

From there, you can drag and drop your files into the provided space or click Choose files to find them yourself.

Use the design tab to change the way your button appears on your page, including changing the text and button styling.

Before you start, please ensure that you have an active Dropbox account. This is a cloud-based file storage platform designed to allow you access to your files from anywhere.

If you don’t have a Dropbox account, you can create one for free.

Once your Dropbox account has been set up, access your Website Builder package.

From there, select Add Content and scroll down to the Media section. Find the Dropbox widget and then drag and drop it whenever you want it to appear on your page.

From there, click the widget to open its Settings panel.

Click Choose from Dropbox from the menu that appears.

A pop-up window will now appear, prompting you to sign in to your Dropbox account. Simply enter your login details to continue.

From there, find and select the file(s) you wish to display on your site. Once you’ve selected them, click Choose.

Now that you’ve inserted your file, feel free to edit the design and style of your Dropbox widget using the left-hand menu.

For example, you can choose to display the file name, align the button and change the button text. When complete, make sure you click Save.

You will see a gallery of files available to you. To upload any new files, click + Add.

From the pop-up file manager window that appears, find and select the image(s) you wish to upload. Once done, click Open to add your file to your site’s file gallery.
