How do I upload a file to my website?

This article will show you how to upload files to your Website Builder site so that visitors can download them.

Uploading files to your website will allow your visitors to easily download materials such as sign-up forms, videos, music and more. In fact, our Website Builder tool supports the following file formats:

.pdf  |  .doc  |  .docx  |  .xls  |  .xlsx  |  .txt  |  .ppt  |  .pps  |  .pptx

Please note: the maximum file size you can upload is 10MB.

Start by logging in to Website Builder.

From there, add a new section to your page.

In the right-hand menu that appears, select Files & Web and then choose Files.

A list of options will now appear. Click Add below your preferred design.

After a few moments, your Files section will be added to your page. From here, you can change its layout, colour scheme and content using the provided options within the right-hand menu.

To add files to this section, click Add opposite Files.

Browse your computer for the relevant files and then click Open to upload them.

Your files will now appear within the section for customers to download. You can upload a maximum of 15 files in total.

Start by logging in to your Website Builder package.

From there, select Widgets in the left-hand menu.

Scroll down to the Basics section and then drag and drop the File widget whenever you want it to appear on your page.

This will create a button through which your visitors can download your file.

Give your button a name with the Text on button field and then click + File to choose your document.

This will open the Uploaded Files panel where you’ll see all your recently uploaded documents. If you need to upload a new file, click Upload New File.

From there, you can drag and drop your files into the provided space or click Choose files to find them yourself.

Use the design tab to change the way your button appears on your page, including changing the text and button styling.
