How to use the embed tool in Website Builder
This will show you how to use the Embed widget using Website Builder. You can use the Embed widget to add another level of creativity to your site by adding third party widgets and content to your website; for example you can use it to add custom twitter widgets, blog rolls and weather widgets.
This feature is applicable to multiple versions of the Website Builder platform, so please use the options below to find the appropriate instructions for the package you are using. If you are not sure which version of Website Builder you are using, you can use this article to check.
Website Builder Version 8
n this version of Website Builder, the Embed widget is known as the HTML widget. Drag and drop it onto the page in the position you would like to display your new element.
Once you have placed the widget on your page, you’ll be prompted to enter your HTML. A lot of websites will give you the HTML you need, in this example, we’ll use a track from SoundCloud, but many other apps support this functionality.
Click the update button to see what your new element will look like. Advanced users can use the Dev Mode and Edit CSS functionality to make adjustments to how the element will look on you page, but other users can make basic changes by using the design tab.
Website Builder Version 7
From the Layout section of the Add Content panel, click and drag the Embed widget to the area of the page you would like to display your widget.
Now your Embed widget is on your page, click on the widget to open the settings panel.
Copy and paste the code for the widget you wish to use into the Embed box. For this example, we are using a simple Weather widget. Click Save to confirm your changes.
Once you have saved the widget, you may need to refresh or preview your page to see the widget in action.
