How to let your customers know that the right of withdrawal disappears for some goods

This article will explain some new regulations for your eShop, based on a new Consumer Rights Directive that is coming into effect on 13th June 2014.

The new consumer rights directive contains many legal implications. In some cases the customer should confirm during the order process that they know that the right of withdrawal disappears.

Here’s how to implement a check box in the order process, which customers can use to confirm that they’re aware that their right of withdrawal disappears.

In the Administration area of the main menu, select Settings and then Basket Settings.

Step 2 of 3

Under Your right of withdrawal before accepting order, select Yes.

Step 3 of 3

Save the changes.

Now in the last step of the order process, the checkbox will now display.

How do I change the example text beside the checkbox?

Select the Texts tab.

Step 3 of 3

Change the example text for text for accepting right of withdrawal. Then click Save.
