How to use Website Builder widgets
This article will show you how to insert a widget through your Website Builder tool.
Simply put, a widget is an element that you can insert onto your webpages that can enrich your overall site.
These can range from basic widgets that simply allow you to insert text, images, videos, buttons and social media links, to more elaborate widgets that perform specific functions such as countdown timers, before and after image sliders, contact forms, calendars and more.
Please note: this article only applies to Version 8 of our Website Builder. If you’re not sure which version you have, you can find out by reading this article.
Start by logging in to your Website Builder package.
From there, select Widgets in the left-hand menu.
You will then be given a list of available widgets that you can add to your page, including text, images, videos, maps, contact forms and more.
Once you’ve found a suitable widget, simply click and drag it wherever you want it to appear on your page.
As you drag your widget across your page, an Insert here space will appear where you can drop your widget into. You can even insert it into a new column or row that our Website Builder tool will create for you.
Once you’ve placed your widget, you can change its style and settings by right-clicking it and selecting Edit Design from the drop-down menu that appears.
This will open a new window where you can easily change the settings of your widget, including its size, spacing, layout and more. Any changes you make will be saved automatically.
