How to switch the PHP version?
This FAQ will help you to change the PHP version on your hosting package
If you are writing in PHP, you may wish to change the PHP version that your 123 Reg Hosting package is using. You can do this straight from your Hosting control panel.
Please note: 123 Reg Hosting packages now support PHP 7. In order to enable PHP 7 simply add the following to the .htaccess file in your public_html folder:
AddHandler application/x-httpd-phpXX .php
Replace XX with the version number you'd like to use.
So, for PHP 7.2, use AddHandler application/x-httpd-php72 .php
Or, for version 7, use AddHandler application/x-httpd-php70 .php

Login to your 123 Reg control panel.

Scroll down to the Web Hosting section.

Select the relevant domain name from the drop down box and click on the Manage button.

Click on the Switch PHP Version option in the Web Tools section.

From here you can choose between 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.4. If you would like to implement PHP 7, please use the instructions listed at the top of the page. .
