Have you visited the Nicest Place on the Internet?

Iain Lee – The Magic of the Internet

Are you bored of Christmas yet? I hope not, if you are, you literally have no soul and don’t deserve the wise and indeed kind words I am writing for you right now.

Hang on, let me try and save your soul. Have a gander at this bad boy. An Acapulco rendition of a Latin Christmas carol? No, not sold you yet? OK, it’s sung by The Monkees? Ah…kind of got you hooked? Or do you think it sounds plain weird? Check it out, this is just stunning.

While we are loitering on YouTube, do have a look at this classic. It’s old and has done the rounds several times, but I absolutely love Guy Goma. The story was that he was a cab driver who wandered onto the BBC set. Apparently that’s not true and he was actually in the building for a job interview. Either way, this is hilarious. Check the panic in his face at 6 seconds. And fair play to the bloke, he knows he’s in trouble but he just goes for it.

I have worked with Paul Ross on several occasions and found him to be a perfectly decent, intelligent and funny chap. I believe it is true that his answerphone message runs along the lines of ‘If it’s a job the answer is yes’. Good for him. He displays the hard working ethic that British people have lost in recent years. Whilst cruising the internet to find a Christmas present for my wife, I stumbled across this canvas print of Paul Ross. It is a stunning piece of art, sadly we just don’t have the room on our walls for it. However, once you get past the beauty and magnificence of the item itself, scroll down and spend a few minutes reading the reviews. Absolutely hilarious.

Hey, here is a link for all you Scrooge type Christmas haters. Give a big bah humbug to these pics (but please, don’t show them to children unless they have been VERY naughty.)

This next site is more fun than it deserves to be. It is dead simple, looks a bit dated and carries loads of ads for ringtones. All those criticisms to one side, it’s pretty darn perfect and thoroughly enjoyable.

This next guy is a huge sensation of the old Facebook. I have looked hard at his page and have literally no idea why. Honestly, I can’t see the attraction. Maybe you can. Good luck.

A genuinely useful website providing instant rimshots, as it says on the page ‘If you need quick access to an ironicly-placed rimshot sound to mock your friends, or a genuinely-placed rimshot to put your great joke over the top, you’ve come to the right place’. Enjoy.

If you’re a man, then you use a mirror to shave, right? Of course you do. It would be insane not to. Well Margaret has been out with men who do NOT use a mirror to shave. I’m not saying that Margaret is a liar but that is the biggest load of bullshine I have ever heard in my life. Who is this Margaret and how do I know so much about her? Well, her boyfriend has decided to list everything that the two of them argue about and put it online. Margaret thinks he is vain for using a mirror to shave. Some of their other arguments I myself have experienced with my wife, while a significant number of them are just plain weird. Check this out.

OK, sorry, I can’t seem to find any way out of this weirdness. I’m trying but I appear to have got lost in a weird cul-de-sac of internet strangeness. So I shall just end with this. Random people hugging YOU whether you want it or not.

A familiar face on television since he got his first break landing the job hosting Channel 4’s thrice weekly topical comedy show the 11 O’Clock Show at the age of 25, Iain is also an award winning radio presenter, top podcast creator and a genuinely funny guy with an eye for the bizarre.
