How can I find my FTP username and password?
This FAQ will show you how to find your FTP details for your Web hosting package.
You can find your FTP details through your hosting control panel by following the instructions below. FTP details are assigned to each domain name on your hosting package, so your details for one website will not be the same as the details for another.
Select the correct article for the version of the hosting package you are using. You can also click the Top button to return and make another selection.

Log in to your 123 Reg control panel
Scroll down to the Web hosting section.
Select your domain name using the drop-down menu and then click on the Manage button.
In this box you will see your FTP username and password.

Please note: When uploading to your hosting package via FTP, you root folder will be /domainname/public_html replacing domainname with your website’s domain name.
First login to your 123 Reg control panel and scroll down to the Web hosting section. Click on the manage button for Web Hosting.
Now scroll down to the list of websites you have set up on your hosting package, and click the Manage button for the site you wish to find the FTP details for.
Once you have logged into your Xtend control panel, you will see your FTP details on the right hand side of the page in a section titled FTP Details.
Here you will set your FTP password, simply click on the Click here to set link.
You can now enter your new FTP password into the box provided and then click the Change Password button.
Minimum password length is 8 characters and must include a special character and as least two of: upper case letters, lower case letters and numbers.
If you have forgotten or do not have access to your current FTP password, you can create a new one through your hosting control panel.
Login to your 123 Reg control panel and scroll down the Web hosting section, then click on the Manage link for your Windows Hosting package.
You will see a list of your hosting packages, click on the Manage button for the package you would like to access.
This will take you to your Plesk Control Panel. Click on the FTP Access button from the list of tools.
Click on the User you need to find the FTP details for.
You will now be able to set a new password for your FTP account, or use the Generate button to randomly create a new password.
