Title: How do I upload a file to my web hosting package?
In this video, we’ll show you how to use your Web Hosting Control Panel to easily upload your
website files to your hosting package.
To begin, you’ll need to be logged into your 123 Reg Control Panel.
Once you’re logged in, scroll down to Web Hosting.
Select the hosting package, and click on the manage button.
Ok, this will bring you into your Web Hosting Control Panel.
Now simply click on File Manager.
To upload a single web file, click on this button here, you can then choose the file and click
Once your file is uploaded, click on the close button.
If you want to upload your entire website, you’ll need to compress your files first.
This is easily done.
Find your website folder on your computer and right click on it.
Hover over the options and click ‘send to compressed (zipped) folder.’
Once this zip folder is created, go back into your Web Hosting Control Panel.
Now click here to begin the upload.
Choose the folder by clicking here, and then click on upload.
You will see Upload complete once it’s finished, and you’ll just need to click close.
Ok, so now we can unpack the files.
Just click on the folder and then select Unpack.
You may wish to delete this original zip file, just click on it and then click delete.
Great, your website files are uploaded and unpacked.
There’s just one more thing left to do.
Find the index file for your website, click on it and then click here to preview it.
You may notice that the name of the folder your website is currently in is displayed here.
Don’t worry, this is easy to change.
Navigate back to the Web Hosting Control Panel, and highlight all of the website files in that
Now you can simply drag them onto the PUBLIC_HTML icon here.
This will move them into the main folder of your website, so when you type in your domain name
you will no longer see the folder name here.
You can now simply delete the original folder you used to upload the files, just make sure it’s

manager anytime to edit and manage your files.
