An end of year message from Sara Rego

Sara Rego, Managing Director at 123 Reg, looks back on an eventful year.

We were all hoping 2021 would be the year things got back to ‘normal’. Although that hasn’t been the case, we’re proud of the way our customers have risen to the challenge and continued to build strong businesses against a backdrop of adversity.

We’re also grateful for your patience and understanding as we’ve continued through these unusual times. Not everything can go right all the time and we’re thankful that you trust us to get it sorted when things do go wrong.

Despite another challenging year, our focus has remained helping you and your business succeed online.

We launched our Digital Marketing Suite, which you can use to help boost your search engine optimisation, track customer reviews, run advertising campaigns and more. It’s a great way to let more people know about what you’re doing.

We also rolled out our new WordPress hosting. We love WordPress and there’s a good reason it’s such a popular way to get a website online. It’s powerful, flexible and easy for a beginner to get to grips with. If you’re looking to launch a new site, WordPress should be on your list of options.

In October, we were recognised by Nominet, the official .UK registry, as the UK’s largest domain registrar. We’re proud that so many of you rely on us to power your online presence.

It’s likely you’ll have already noticed the redesigned account management area we launched this year, which made it easier to update things like email preferences and payment methods. Next year we’ll also be revamping our control panel to further improve usability.

You may also have noticed we’ve been showcasing our customers’ stories on our blog and in videos. Who knows, it could be you and your successes we’re taking about next. We love hearing about your businesses and how you’re using our products to help you succeed. That’s why it was great to get back to meeting customers in person, which we did at the Business Show earlier this year.
