How do I set up a contact form?

This article will explain how to create your own contact form for your WordPress site.

Step 1 of 9

Start by accessing your Managed WordPress dashboard. For details on how to do this, please read our Support article: How do I access my Managed WordPress dashboard?

From there, select Plugins from the left-hand menu, followed by Add new.

Search for ‘Contact Form 7’ within the provided field. Once done, you’ll need to install and activate it.

Once you’ve done this, select the Contact option from the left-hand menu.

Here you’ll see the overview page for your Contact Forms. To create a new form, select Add New.

From here, enter a suitable Title for your form in the provided field and set what text fields you want to appear within Form.

Once done, select Mail within the toolbar. From here, you’ll need to update the To field to the email address you want the form to send to.

If necessary, update the From address to an email address with the same domain name as the hosting.

Please note: If the From address does not match the domain on the hosting account, then the server will prevent the mail from being received.

You can also customise the messages that your users receive when they successfully send a message or if any errors occur by selecting the Messages tab.

Once you’re happy with everything, click Save within the Status window to confirm your changes.

If you want to amend any existing contact forms, simply hover your cursor over it and select Edit.
