How do I add a favicon to my WordPress website?

A favicon is a small image situated within your browser that can be used to help visitors find your website when they have multiple tabs open.
We recommend using your logo as the basis for your favicon, which should be 512 x 512 pixels in size.
To find out how to add a favicon icon in WordPress, simply follow the instructions outlined below:
Start by accessing your WordPress dashboard.
From there, hover your cursor over Appearance in the left-hand menu and then click Customise from the provided options.
You will now be taken to a separate area where you can customise your site’s design. Select Site Identity within the left-hand menu.
Next, click the option Select site icon.
A pop-up window will now appear where you can upload your favicon. Simply drag and drop your image into the provided space or click Select Files to browse your computer for it.
Once you’ve uploaded your desired image, click Select to save your choice.
That’s it! Your WordPress favicon will now be uploaded and ready to use. To change your favicon in WordPress, simply repeat the process above and select Change image instead.
