From there, we’ve always believed the journey should be straightforward, whether that’s a simple personal site or a proper online business. We knew that to make this truly easy for anyone, the tools had to work without fuss. So we built them, giving anyone the chance to claim their own spot on the web and share it with the world. Our founders had already built experience with domains through Webfusion, and they set out to make getting a domain easier for everyone in the UK. Growing up fast By 2004, 123 Reg had grown quickly to become the UK’s leading domain registrar. The milestones soon followed — 2 million domains registered by 2009, 3 million by 2012 — and with each step we kept our British roots and UK-based support at the heart of the service.
