Connect with European customers with a .eu internet domain
If you're based in the UK, you won't be able to register a .eu domain name unless you also have an EU address.
Read more about .eu registration changes and Brexit.
Explore new markets and give your website a touch of European flair with a .eu domain. With more businesses expanding across borders and aiming for that all-important international audience, a short and memorable .eu domain is a great way to show your European ties.
Registering a .eu domain gives your brand a trusted web address in the European Union:
Clean, simple and easy to recall. Ideal for a brand that wants to travel well.
Let visitors know you’re based in the EU or doing business there – it’s a domain that speaks their language.
The .eu ending helps build confidence, showing you follow EU rules and standards.
Open your site up to millions of potential customers across the EU and EEA.
Secure your name before someone else does – and keep your brand consistent across markets.
If you are based in one of the European Union Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway, you can purchase a .eu – whether you’re a business, an organisation, or an individual.
And because only people in the European Community can buy .eu domains, your visitors will know that you aren’t just within the same area, they’ll know you follow EU law and the relevant trading standards, giving them the reassurance and security they need.
If you're in the UK, you’ll now need a valid address in one of these countries to register or renew a .eu domain.
To register a .eu domain name, you must meet one of the following criteria:
✓ Be a company, organisation or other legal entity with a registered office, central administration or main place of business in an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway
✓ Be an organisation established in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway in accordance with local laws
✓ Be a natural person living in an eligible country. You’ll need an EU/EEA postal address, and domains on the blocked or reserved list can’t be registered.
This excludes domains on the blocked or reserved list.
Stay safe from identity theft with our Domain Privacy service, hiding your info in the internet’s address book, WHOIS.±
