Why you should get involved with #MicroBizMattersDay

Time is one of the most precious resources for any business. And when you’re doing everything yourself, time becomes even more valuable.

When you’re juggling demands from customers or clients with keeping your finances up to date and the scores of other tasks you have to do, it can be easy to lose track of the bigger picture.

That’s why #MicroBizMattersDay exists. It’s a day of recognition, action and learning for micro business owners which encourages them to take a break from the day-to-day in order to lend each other a hand.

This year’s #MicroBizMattersDay takes place on Friday Jan 13th, and there’ll be eight hours of business-focused learning material streamed live as part of the event. You can check out the full schedule here, or scroll down to the end of this post.

Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to get involved by giving 13. You could write a blog post offering 13 business tips, or record a 13 minute video teaching business owners a new skill.
It doesn’t matter what you do, just share it via social media with the hashtags #MicroBizMattersDay and #IGave13.

Here’s the 123 Reg #IGave13 – it’s a video helping micro businesses rank higher on search engines when local people search for what they do. This is often called local search engine optimisation.
