All contracts between a retailer and a consumer are subject to UK law whether you state any Terms & Conditions or not. The purpose of stating T's & C's is to protect both you and the consumer from any later misunderstanding of the transaction. All major web retailers are very careful about what their T's & C's say.

To just cut and paste someone else's leads to two problems - breach of copyright and inaccuracy of the terms for your use. Independent research has also shown that a large number of web retailers' terms actually breach the law. A court will not look kindly on this if a consumer complains.

For your peace of mind we have licensed the standard SafeBuy Terms and Conditions for web retailers. They are the only terms in the UK which have been reviewed by the Office of Fair Trading. The Terms apply to all product sales (e.g. TVs) but not services (e.g. gardening contracts). You can easily insert your own organisation data into the standard text.
